Århus Rocks - The Restless: Baby I Don't Care

❤️🔥❤️
Love Arthur
Turned onto Love in summer of ‘67 on Sabato Beach, Mazatlan. Some surfers had Da Capo on 8 track in their dub van. I said who is that they said you never heard of Love? When Forever came out it was bliss.
Give the drummer some!
Maravilha
Awesome...
His guitar cable is stressing me out
Band cooked. Not the best use of Arthur's vocal skills
The most underrated, and underappreciated artist of the 'Sixties, despite the undeniable Forever Changes album, Arthur Lee would only release one more album (and leave one in the can) in the 'Seventies, the forgettable Reel to Real. I saw the original band, at the Whiskey, in '66, and the new group, at Newport '69.
A holy roar
Never mind, it's August, and it's awesome. Arthur Lee did have a "Johnny Mathis" kinda smooth voice. It's a shame he died so young. So much talent left undiscovered.
Not as young as Bryan Maclean. He was the 1st of the 60's cohort to die (not including the 27 club).
Awesome song! The drummer is killing it. But what is the name of the song?
5 Strings always worth a listen
Say you will kickin it off!
👌👌😎
Is this even out as a full show. I only see August and this one but differing quality and this is the best one.
Wow. 👍👍👍👍
Hard to believe this band is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! Anyone who has ears and has ever heard Forever Changes, Da Capo, and more knows that's an injustice. Although huge commercial success eluded them, Arthur Lee and Love wrote and played some incredible music. It's way past time they were inducted.
🔒🎶🇬🇧 I'm almost 60 & I 1st Heard Love's Forever changes during the 80s when a a Neighbour then in Her 40s Played It to Us & since I've become a huge Fan of Arthur & Love 💥🎸💓
Love this
Not one of their better shows. These guys unreal in concert just not this one. Great drummer
"Four Sail "is a great album and it's great to see the band live in concert from1970
I love this footage, thanks. When I was young, I had the luck of taking a year or so of drum lessons from him. Such an influence. I still know that crossover fill technique.
I wonder if this song",Love to China" is what inspired Nixons detante with China? Just kidding, but, hey he might have been a secret fan. My dad,a WW2 Veteran, dug the Doors
I got to see author Lee and love 3x in late 80's or early 90's great shows I love LOVE so happy I saw them live what a trip
c t
f sake
I got to see this band in the studio in LA. Years before I jammed with lead guitar play Jay.
Unbelievable!
Forever Changes and Four Sale were two incredible albums but can't be compared to each other. Totally different bands.
As a huge fan of LOVE I couldn't agree more. The two groups were completely different styles of music. This variation was like grunge rock. Forever Changes was a very mellow mostly a Guitar and horn driven album. Arthur did not play any Guitar on the Forever Changes album. Which I think is a Masterpiece. Johnny Echols and Bryan Maclean along with bassist Ken Forrsi gave that album a unique vibe for the music part. Arthurs lyrics were outstanding
Damn good drummer !!
What an AMAZING story-- , every word is fascinating:You cannot make a bio like this up!! Notice his first girlfriend"From Wiki: "Bryan MacLean's mother was an artist and a dancer, and his father was an architect for Hollywood celebrities such as Elizabeth Taylor and Dean Martin.[1] Neighbor Frederick Loewe, of the songwriting team Lerner & Loewe, recognized him as a "melodic genius" at the age of three as he doodled on the piano. His early influences were Billie Holiday and George Gershwin, although he confessed to an obsession with Elvis Presley. During his childhood, he wore out show music records from Guys and Dolls, Oklahoma, South Pacific and West Side Story. His first girlfriend was Liza Minnelli, and they would sit at the piano together singing songs from The Wizard of Oz (1939). He learned to swim in Elizabeth Taylor's pool, and his father's good friend was actor Robert Stack. MacLean appears in the 1957 Cary Grant film An Affair to Remember, singing in the Deborah Kerr character's music class. Maria McKee is his half-siste WHAT!!!!! McClean wrote "Alone Again or
THe memory of Brian McClean MUST BE REMEMBERED, as their unique sound was influenced by his MOTHER, as she was a Flamingo Dancer, and McClean's style was brought to the genius of Lee, (well as well noted/ THE DRUMMER/ and Johnny . McClean got caught up in Heroin, I believe, and as several others, the Holy Spirit was very active, intervening into the lives of Brian, Dylan, Johnny Rivers to name a few, So he got straight, started delving into Christian Music ONL:Y to be taken home with a massive heart attack.
Arthur was brilliant. Totally underated.
I’ve been an Arthur Lee & Love fan from the beginning. Now as the years have gone by, a lot of what was so enjoyable back then now has become just noise.
I'll say it again, what a drummer!
What a great sound....far out....
Saw them in London that tour.
Far Out
how cool......Four Sail is a masterpiece. Named my first son August. If I name the next one Robert Montgomery, you won't doubt my love for this album.
You bastard, you cut out he greatest drum solo of the era. George Suranovich was in a different league to anyone else a the time.
like Donellans guitar much better than this.
Man I love that guitar solo...gives me the shivers and goosebumps!
G E O R G E !!!
In the early 70s my brother gave me a book for Christmas, Fillmore East & West. It was made up of concert reviews this writer had done of dozens of classic shows at both venues. Love was Fillmore West house band for a while, meaning they opened every night. His Love review was really well-written, basically about how George outplayed two Grateful Dead drummers and Love upstaged the headliner, like they evidently did frequently.
That drumming speaks to me!
Four sail is there best album
Negative
yet he refused to play Monterey Pop
I miss him so much, so talented.
Peak Love!!
